I also took my girlfriend here on Oct 1st with the intention of sharing a delicious dinner since I had been to this Applebee's before and enjoyed the the steak and shrimp. I was not aware that the price had gone up since that visit, but with all the crap the economy is going through, I can't say that I was really surprised and I guess that is ok but I am on a limited budget and of limited intelligence since I planned to decide what my guest should eat. I did not mind the price going up but me salad that was included before and was more now and that meant more money from my pockets but I did not mind and talked my girlfriend into a medium rare steak. I do not know what she really wanted to eat -I just told her and then she said she wanted it very rare and I said "Oh no!" and she said "You Ho!" and I said "Go Blow!" and she said "Not Joe!" and Joe said "What am I doing here?" but to the waitress I asked for medium rare toward the rare side, like any idiot cook at applebee's is going to have the slightest idea how to prepare a steak well. She assured me that she would tell the idiot. When our steak came out we were practially done with our conversation, but there wasn't much to say anyway since I so all the talking. The steak was practically cooked all the way through (but magically bleeding) and by the time we were close to done eating it had tranformed into a charcoal briquette that I wanted to squeeze between my buttcheeks and press into a diamond. She never offered to get us another magic blood-charcoal diamond and that's okay because I can only squeeze one at a time out of my pooty-poot so I asked her to show the diamond to the cook and he said that only idiots want a free dessert and so we got two to go and they were smaller than the ones I was aware of before and I just wanted to say that I was so disappointed for a 53.00 meal for two people that didn't talk and only made asscrunch diamonds with my sweet buttcakes but now I will go to one of the 3 new restaurants in town and no longer talk me friends into applebuttnuts.

on october 1st i brought my girlfriend to applebees for a dinner for her birthday. i had been to applebees 3 weeks previous and had a delicious dinner. the first thing was the menu was changed and the price of the steak shrimp had gone up, but i guess that was ok, but i am on a very limited budget. i did not mind the price going up but now she told me the salad that was included before was 1.99. it ended up 3.75. i went ahead and talked my girlfriend into a medium rare steak because it had been beautiful the last time i had it. she wanted rare and i said oh no, but to the waitress i asked for medium rare toward the rare side. she assured me she would tell the cook. when our steak came it was practically done. very light pink, and by the time we were cclose to done eating it was well done. she never offered to get us another one. after eating i asked her to take the remaining piece to the cook, which she did and came back with a reply that we could have a free desert. fine i said. we took the deserts to go and they used to be huge deserts at applebees and these were both so small, i was not aware that a too go desert was smaller. i just wanted to say that i was so disappointed for a 53.00 meal for two people and i will now go to one of the 3 new restaurants in town, and no longer talk me friends into applebees.
